Crossing the Rubicon: Soft Launch!

Rubicon is live on Ethereum!

Rubicon Soft Launch

The Rubicon team is very happy to announce that we are now live on Ethereum mainnet! You can visit Rubicon for yourself and trade some of the most exciting assets in DeFi.

This soft launch only includes the launch of the Rubicon open order book contract on Ethereum mainnet. We are still working on our layer 2 integrations with our smart contracts!

While we are live, we will continue improving upon the foundations, and much of our time will be spent improving the UI/UX of Rubicon to make a seamless trading experience. Please note, that for the soft launch of our app there will be high transaction fees (due to Ethereum price appreciation) and minimal liquidity - these are all things we plan to overcome in the near future and we hope any would-be users still enjoy this soft launch preview. If you have any suggestions for how we can start improving, join our Discord server or reach out to us at and let us know!

What’s next for Rubicon

With Rubicon live and governance contracts about to be audited, the team will shift its attention to the future. We are watching the exciting developments on layer 2, and we are very excited to get started implementing this technology into our product. On layer 2, open order books are in their element, and we are excited to show the world how Rubicon can scale by integrating one of these solutions. Once integrated with optimistic rollups on layer 2, we expect a 143x (at least) reduction in transaction costs and similar improvements in transaction times.

In addition to layer 2 integration and continued development, our time will be spent sourcing liquidity, adding support for new assets, and the perpetual task of incrementally improving the Rubicon protocol.

Thank you for your support over the past few months! Our journey is just getting started, and we are excited to show you what more we have in store.
